Introduction

Message Sync is an Android application developed by Mishtik. The app allows users to selectively forward SMS messages from their device to a user-configured webhook URL for personal automation workflows. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Analytics Events

We collect anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics, including screen views, button taps, and feature usage. These events do not contain personally identifiable information (PII) and are used solely to understand how the app is used and to improve the experience.

Crash Logs

We collect crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, including stack traces, device model, and OS version. These are used exclusively for diagnosing and fixing stability issues in the app.

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any SMS messages, phone numbers, or personal message content. SMS data is processed entirely on the user's device and is sent only to the user's own configured webhook URL. The developer has no access to this data at any time.

SMS Permission

Message Sync requests the READ_SMS permission to scan the device's SMS inbox locally. Messages are filtered according to user-configured rules (allowed senders, keywords, exclusions) and forwarded to the user's own server via HTTP/HTTPS POST. The developer does not receive, intercept, or have access to any SMS data. All processing happens on-device.

Data Storage

All app settings and message metadata (such as sync timestamps and filter configurations) are stored locally on the device using SQLite and SharedPreferences. Authentication tokens for webhook URLs are stored using encrypted storage (FlutterSecureStorage). No user data is stored on our servers.

Subscriptions

Message Sync offers an optional Pro subscription managed entirely through Google Play. No payment information is collected or handled by the app. All billing is managed by Google Play. See Google Play's Terms of Service for details.

Children's Privacy

Message Sync is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
